Jeff
Olm
Jeff Olm began his visual effects career in 1986 at The Post Group as
an assistant editor on Star Trek The Next Genration. Jeff has since held
key roles in film projects including Seabiscuit (Sequence Colorist), Reign
of Fire (skydiving sequence Lead Compositor), Titanic, Spiderman, Castaway,
Armageddon, Black Hawk Down and Harry Potter (visual effects compositing
and/or color grading). With over 55 film credits and a multitude of television
and commercial credits, Jeff has gained extensive experience working the
high end systems including SCRATCH, Flame, Inferno, Shake, Lustre, FinalTouch/Color
and Speed Grade. He has consulted on workflow and trained colorists for
Technicolor, TDI/Creative Services, Sony, Red Car and Ascent Media. Jeff's
history includes visual effects compositing and color correction roles
with Sony Pictures Imageworks, Dreamworks Animation, Disney Feature Animation,
Asylum, CIS and Discreet (Autodesk).
Jeff has most
recently completed the stereo and look dev for DI color correction for
all the stereo distribution formats for the following titles. DI for Warner
Bros./New Line. Walden Media 3D live action \ Stereo Summer blockbuster
- "Journey to The Center of the Earth 3D" And Jeff O, is currently
working on Dreamworks first Stereo release. "Monsters Vs. Aliens"
due out Spring 2009.
Jim
Hays – Digital Workflow Manager, Paradise FX
Jim brings more than 20 years experience working with cutting-edge software
and digital technologies in a wide range of industries to today’s
challenge of efficiently and effectively managing digital workflow for
the motion picture industry. Most recently Jim served as Digital Workflow
Manager on “My Bloody Valentine 3D,” Lionsgate’s forthcoming
3D digital feature, where he was responsible for managing the process
of creating 3D digital dailies (without tape) and for preparing all files
for post production. Prior to this, Jim worked on Sony Pictures’
Stage 6 Film “The Dark Country,” where he was responsible
for setting up the digital work flow for the production and for working
with a range of software and hardware vendors to deliver the tools necessary
to efficiently manage the process. Jim has also worked extensively with
Silicon Imaging, makers of the industry-leading SI-2K digital cinema camera,
to help SI develop appropriate 3D features and functionality for the SI-2K.
Jim is currently consulting on a range of projects from 3D features to
3D live events.
Jeff
Pierce, Stereoscope
Jeff Pierce is an industry veteran
and a leader in developing advanced technologies for digital motion picture
and television production. Jeff helped pioneer digital film scanning,
film recording and digital intermediate technologies and has contributed
creatively providing digital color and special effects supervision for
many blockbuster feature films and prime time episodic television programs.
Jeff is the managing member of Stereoscope, LLC, a development through
distribution stereoscopic entertainment company located in Burbank California.
Howard
J. Postley, 3ality Digital Systems
Howard Postley is veteran of the computer, communication, entertainment
and media industries, having served in a broad range of strategic planning,
research and development, product design, interactive media production,
marketing, and financial management roles. As COO of 3ality Digital Systems,
Mr. Postley is responsible for all product development and studio operations.
Previously, Mr. Postley has served in similar roles at iMagic Software
and Cloud 9 Interaction. Prior to iMagic Software, Mr. Postley served
as Director and Group CTO with PwC Consulting where he led Digital Media
Strategy with a specific focus on media convergence in an increasingly
digital world. Mr. Postley has received multiple patents, served in a
variety of roles in the film, television and videogame industries. He
has been part of the management teams of nine startup companies.
Bruce
K. Long, Iconix
Bruce K. Long has a long history in production and post production. He
was President of Encore Video, EVP of Ascent Media, EVP of Technicolor
Creative Services, and President of the National Lampoon.
Today, though he still keeps a hand in production of features and television
content, he is CEO of Iconix, a manufacturer and provider of cameras and
end to end 3D solutions.
